Americans for Insurance Reform Creates 'Katrina Insurance Hotline'

9/4/2006 07:21:00 AM

Kitzbühel, Austria - September 4 - Local attorney S. Stephen Spring, II, Esq. was appointed as a guest lecturer at the prestigious Retreat on Lawyering in the International Market, scheduled 31 March - 6 April 2007 at the Whistler Resort, BC, Canada.

Mr. Spring is scheduled to speak on the topic of the "Prophylactic Protections of Trade Secrets and Their Impact upon Trade Secret Litigation."

This topic coincides with recent work done by the law firm in handling a ground-breaking trade secret case in Louisiana. Since Louisiana has adopted the same Uniform Trade Secrets Protection Act (UTSPA) as many other states, the development of this case is of critical importance to the protections afforded to trade secrets nationwide.

The conference will feauture speakers from Europe, North America, Latin America, and Asia, and will examine the most common issues confronting lawyers engaged in crossborder matters: intellectual property (trademarks, patents, copyrights), mergers and acquisitions, employment and business immigration, arbitration, litigation and dispute resolution, franchising and licensing, sales, finance and investment, bankruptcy and insolvency, taxation, telecommunications and the Internet.

More information on the conference is available on the Center's website, http://cils.net/conferences/conferencebasic.php or by emailing the director at manuela.wedam@cils.net.
